NCREIF is Currently hiring:
Marketing and Communications DirectorThis newly established position has the principal responsibility is developing, implementing and management of NCREIF’s strategic marketing and communication plan to its members and industry. The established communication plan should increase awareness, value, differentiate us from other data sources, attract new members, and further strengthen the NCREIF brand. The role will require planning, executing and measuring all activities to gauge success, effectiveness and where to make improvements. In addition, it requires excellent communication, organizational and analytical skills, given the wide range of internal and external stakeholders. Essential Job Functions• Establish Marketing and Communication Plan designed to make NCREIF known as source of institution real estate data and eduction within the US.• Determine overall messaging, benefits and target audiences for different products and services in close collaboration with internal staff.• Manage and maintain member communication of the NCREIF Website, E-mails, Newsletters, Social Media, etc.• Develop NCREIF brand guidelines and implement them within the organization.• Develop and maintain NCREIF marketing materials to be shared with potential members.• Establish relationship with press or PR firms to increase NCREIF awareness and coverage.• Collaborate with internal Member Services Director on assisting with potential member materials or communications.• Collaborate with internal Program Director and Chief Operation Officer on promotion of events, education, conferences, webinars and other NCREIF events.• Collaborate with Reporting Standards Director on coordinated communications, website, and social media efforts.• Primary liaison with other industry organizations to promote NCREIF and its data, products, events, and communications.• Incorporate internal reporting around product use, conference attendance, and other success metrics.• Track website performance and continuously update content to ensure consistency, gain relevant traffic and maximize search engine optimization.• Work with global association partners to ensure a coordinated effort and approach is taken with marketing initiatives.  Position Requirements• 5 years of experience and knowledge in the institutional real estate investment industry and major organizations including pension funds, investment managers, consultants, and other professional firms.• A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a marketing role, preferably in the financial services or real estate investment industry.• Proven interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills that build trusting partnerships with NCREIF’s internal team, partners, and members.• Knowledge of key functions within the industry including performance attribution and measurement, valuation, accounting, and research. • Understanding of the real estate investment management process, associated data, and products and tools that support it.• A strong team player and able to work independently with the ability to lead through influence and by example.• Understands the concepts of and has experience with branding.• Experience with digital marketing automation and tools.• Strong analytical mindset and an ability to analyze marketing and communication effectiveness.• Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to train and manage change.• A bachelor's degree in communication, Marketing or PR related subject.
