About NCREIF Data and Indices
NCREIF collects both property and fund level information held in a fiduciary environment from its members on a quarterly basis, and in one case on a monthly basis. This data is used to produce various indices and performance reports. The data is also available to members in masked form for research and other purposes.
NCREIF’s historical property and fund database go back to the Fourth Quarter 1977 and consists of over 50,000 properties and over 350 open-end and closed-end funds.
The NCREIF data products are broken out based on investment type, which are Property, Fund, Farmland, or Timberland and is presented by Fund Type, Property Type, Subtype, Region, Division, MSA and more. There are also NCREIF Analytics and Query tools and reports that offer a variety of ways to access or analyze the NCREIF data.
NCREIF data products and analytical tools are available to NCREIF members and subscribers only. If you are a non-member and wish to inquire about subscriptions to access the data, please inquire about becoming a Data Subscriber below. Please note that firms with qualifying Assets Under Management are not permitted to subscribe to receive data products, you must become a Data Contributor Member of NCREIF and submit your quarterly data to NCREIF.
