Membership

NCREIF is an association of institutional real estate professionals who share a common interest in their industry.
They are investment managers, investors, academicians, consultants, appraisers, CPAs and other service providers who have a significant involvement in pension fund real estate investments. Data Contributor Members contribute performance data on their properties and funds for inclusion in NCREIF's indices and data products.
Members come together two times each year during NCREIF Conferences to address vital industry issues and to promote research on the asset class. This, in addition to Webinars, NCREIF Academy Courses, and Committee Meetings between NCREIF Conferences help to keep vital industry initiatives flowing throughout the year.

NCREIF Offers 4 Membership Categories

Data Contributor Members

Data Contributor Members are Investment Managers with a minimum of $50m AUM that submit to NCREIF all qualifying performance data on their properties and funds for inclusion in various NCREIF indices and performance reports.

  • Permitted to Attend all NCREIF Events
  • Receive Access to Industry Research
  • May Participate in all NCREIF Standing Committee Meetings

Investor Members

Investor Members are institutional investors that have real estate assets under management, and are required to submit their real estate data to NCREIF each quarter directly, or through their investment managers.
  • Receive Full Access to NCREIF Data
  • Permitted to Attend all NCREIF Events
  • Receive Access to Industry Research
  • May Participate in all NCREIF Standing Committee Meetings, as well as the Investor Committee Meetings

Professional Members

Professional Members are organizations that have significant involvement in the institutional real estate industry, but do NOT have real estate assets under management. Examples include Accounting Firms, Appraisers, Legal Firms, Software Providers, and other Service Providers.
  • Receive either Full or Partial Access to NCREIF Data, depending on level desired
  • Permitted to Attend all NCREIF Events
  • Receive Access to Industry Research
  • May Participate in all NCREIF Standing Committee Meetings

Academic Members

Academic Members are those individuals in the academic community who have significant and ongoing academic interests in the research activities of NCREIF. Membership shall be limited to individuals who have a full time Academicappointment.

  • Permitted to Attend all NCREIF Events
  • Receive Access to Industry Research
  • May Participate in all NCREIF Standing Committee Meetings
