Product Manager

OverviewAs the Product Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving the growth, development, and success of our innovative products. You will be at the intersection of business, technology, and user experience, ensuring that our products meet market needs and deliver exceptional value to our clients.
The work environment requires a passion for data analysis, technology, and product development. It is essential that the person in this role is capable of providing good customer service, and who is also a self starter with the willingness to continue to learn about the industry, technology, and influence as necessary.
Product Strategy and Vision• Define and articulate the vision, strategy, and roadmap for NCREIF data products, ensuring alignment with company goals and market trends.• Collaborate with staff, members, committees, and other cross-functional teams, to establish priorities and ensure product development aligns with business objectives.• Continuously monitor industry trends, competitor offerings, and client needs to identify opportunities for innovation and differentiation. Product Development and Lifecycle Management• Lead the end-to-end product development lifecycle, from ideation to launch, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality outcomes.• Work closely with data and technology teams to translate product requirements into technical specifications and oversee implementation.• Develop detailed user stories, acceptance criteria, and workflows for features related to indices, reports, query tools, and dashboards.• Manage ongoing maintenance and enhancements for existing products, ensuring they stay competitive and updated to meet client demands. User-Centric Design and Experience• Collaborate with UX/UI designers to create user-friendly and aesthetically pleasing interfaces for dashboards and query tools.• Conduct regular user research and incorporate feedback to refine product features and improve user satisfaction.• Ensure products are intuitive, efficient, and designed to enhance client analysis workflows. Data Management and Insights• Collaborate with data analysts and scientists to leverage advanced analytical methodologies and deliver actionable insights.• Ensure that data products meet industry standards and compliance regulations. Stakeholder Collaboration• Act as the primary liaison between members, internal teams, and external partners to ensure seamless communication and alignment.• Present product updates, insights, and metrics to stakeholders, highlighting achievements and outlining plans for future development.• Build strong relationships with clients, understanding their unique needs and tailoring solutions to their requirements. Performance Monitoring and Success Metrics• Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for product success, including adoption rates, and client feedback.• Utilize data-driven approaches to evaluate product performance and identify areas for improvement.• Prepare detailed reports on product outcomes and share insights with management for strategic decision-making.

Business Analyst
OverviewThe principal role of the Business Analyst is to work closely with internal NCREIF Staff, Members, Partners, Consultants, and other resources on the development and maintenance of the different NCREIF products, including strategy and processes around data collection, data integrity, application development, and report production.

It is essential that the person in this role is capable of providing good customer service, and who is also a self starter with the willingness to continue to learn about the industry, technology, and influence as necessary.
Essential Job Functions• Requirement Gathering: Collaborate with internal teams and external members to understand business needs, document requirements, and translate them into actionable solutions.• Process Improvement: Evaluate existing workflows and systems, recommending and implementing changes to drive efficiency and accuracy.• Stakeholder Communication: Liaise between technical teams and business stakeholders to ensure alignment and clear communication regarding project objectives and deliverables.• Tool Implementation: Support the implementation and maintenance of analytics tools, dashboards, and reporting platforms.• Data Integrity: Assist with ongoing data integrity tasks and projects to ensure high level of data integrity for all submitted and derived data.• Support: Provide NCREIF product support to members and other users.• Training: Conduct training sessions with members on the submission process, data, products and other applications.
Technical Skill Requirements• Ability to query and analyze data utilizing Microsoft products including SQL Server, or other data analysis tools.• Office Productivity Tools: Excel, Visio, Project.• Design and build standard reports and the framework for ad-hoc reports.• Ability to grasp technical concepts quickly.
Business Skills / Abilities / Requirements• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field.• 3-5 years of experience in business analysis, data analytics, or a similar role, preferably in the real estate or financial sector.• Strong proficiency in analytical tools such as Excel, SQL, or Power BI.• Familiarity with institutional real estate investment concepts and metrics is a plus.• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.• Proven communication skills that build trusting partnerships with NCREIF’s internal team, partners, and members.• A strong team player and able to work independently with the ability to lead through influence and by example.• Open approach to new ideas and technologies.• Periodic travel to NCREIF Conferences and to organizations in the US to support advancement of projects.
